Playtech and Sun Bingo have struck a long-term deal in which Playtech will be powering the Sun Bingo and Fabulous Bingo brands. The popular UK bingo sites will become part of Playtech’s Virtue Fusion network.
From Gamesys to Playtech’s Virtue Fusion
At this time, Sun Bingo has been powered by Gamesys. Although the bingo sites have moved over to Playtech in a long-term deal, Lee Fenton, the Chief Executive Officer of Gamsys, has said that the two companies have parted ways amicably.
The changeover is set to be complete by August 2016. At that time, once the two bingo sites have been moved over to Playtech’s Virtue Fusion bingo network, they will be provided with new mobile and desktop bingo products. The agreement between Playtech and Sun Bingo has been agreed on for a five year period.
Following the announcement that Playtech had entered into the partnership agreement with Sun Bingo earlier this week, Playtech’s shares were trading up by 0.44% the next morning. Playtech has been looking to make strategic partnerships with top brands in regulated gaming markets.
Playtech’s Chief Executive, More Weizer, commented on the new deal with Sun Bingo, saying: “The Playtech-powered Sun Bingo will use cutting-edge technology to offer best-performing and highly innovative bingo and side games, with fantastic promotions and prizes and the industry's largest jackpots. Virtue Fusion to Increase Number of Bingo Players
Virtue Fusion, Playtech’s bingo division, is well-known in the online and mobile bingo industry. Other Virtue Fusion-powered bingo sites include Paddy Power, William Hill, Mecca Bingo, and Gala Coral. The four Virtue Fusion bingo sites have approximately 20,000 players in total. When Playtech’s bingo division takes over the Sun Bingo sites, it will be increasing its number of bingo players by another 15,000 players.
